Mandy Cheung, Program Director for almost 10 years shared with us her motivation at work and the work culture in AIDS Concern
April 2020
Mandy Cheung has been working in AIDS Concern for almost 10 years as Program Director. She’s witnessed milestones in AIDS Concern, such as the relocations of offices and the setting up of Testing and Counselling Team, etc.
Having stayed in AIDS Concern for almost 10 years, Mandy shared that her motivation for work is to help minority groups in the society, that was also one of the reasons she joined AIDS Concern. The working culture at AIDS Concern is quite unique. It’s almost like a family here where people can talk and express themselves freely. At the same time, there is always plenty of room to try out new ideas and learn from experiences. To Mandy, it was not very easy at first to work in such environment, but throughout the years, she can assure us that sincere willingness to learn and communication with co-workers would help a lot to fit in.
In the past 10 years, Mandy has contributed to the community, and helped improving the service of AIDS Concern. Dare to be what you want. This is what Mandy has shown with her ample experience at the non-governmental sector.
