HIV Risk Assessment
Very Low
Your risk of contracting HIV is very low,
and you have had unsafe sex, the risk of getting sexually transmitted diseases (STIs) is high.
We highly recommend you to conduct HIV antigen and antibody test once a year/ 6 months. Please seek for medical treatment if you have any STIs symptoms.
Condom Use
Continuous and correct use of condoms will effectively prevent HIV and sexually transmitted infections.
Take Pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) on-time
Continuous and take PrEP on-time is an important additional measure to prevent HIV infection and can effectively reduce the risk of sexually transmitted infections.
Take HARRT on time
When people living with HIV continue to take antiretroviral therapy correctly, it will effectively reduce the amount of virus in the infected person’s blood and make the amount of HIV virus undetectable. This effectively reduces the risk of transmission[1]. According to the PARTNER Study[2], the chance of HIV transmission of people living with HIV who cannot detect the amount of virus is close to zero.
For HIV we use the p24 Combo HIV rapid test, which can detect SOME new HIV cases within 15-28 days after infection. However, as it cannot detect all new HIV infections within this period, we suggest people can also get tested 90 days after suspected infection may have happened to be sure of one’s HIV status.
