World AIDS Day 2013 "I'M Positive"

World AIDS Day 2013 "I'M Positive"

This year, AIDS Concern have decided to commemorate World AIDS Day with the theme “I’m Positive” aiming at promoting a PLHIV-friendly culture in Hong Kong.

While “POSITIVE” is commonly used to describe a person diagnosed with HIV, it can also be used to represent a positive and proactive lifestyle. It’s important for us to say ‘No’ to HIV but not to PLHIV (People living with HIV). Only a positive and open public attitude to HIV/AIDS and PLHIV can bring the proper prevention and treatment to both non-infected people and PLHIV.”

To promote World AIDS Day 2013, we have planned a series of events and the first one would be “I’M Postive @ Facebook” campaign. From now until December 31, we invite you to take a picture on the theme of "I'm Positive" and upload it to show your support for people living with or affected by HIV. And for every photo posted, Durex will donate a free condom to AIDS Concern.
