AIDS Concern’s Recommendations for the 2014 Policy Address and 2014/15 Budget

 AIDS Concern, as the first non-government charity organization committed to the service of AIDS-care and consultation in Hong Kong, our mission is to reduce HIV infection rates that aim to reach the goal of zero new infections. Recently, we have our experience of frontline services summarized and have made some recommendations for the 2014 Policy Address and 2014/15 Budget regarding the following issues:

 1. Maintain and improve existing public health services

2. Enhance connections between public and private health-care system

3. Enact anti-discrimination legislation to protect people of different sexual orientation and gender identity

4. Provides comprehensive gender/sexuality education for young people

5. Establish comprehensive health and education support services for men
