Established in 1990, AIDS Concern is a registered charity. Our Mission is to keep HIV prevalence in Hong Kong low through targeted prevention and care programs for vulnerable communities, and to reduce the stigma attached to the disease and the communities most affected.

Part-time Physical Outreach Worker (Ethnic Minorities Project)

 Key job duties:

l   To promote the sexual health and AIDS prevention education in ethnic minorities, mainly focus on Indonesian and Filipino female and African communities;

l   To encourage communities talking on sexual health and recruiting peers to be educators;

l   To collect data and questionnaire during outreach sessions;

l   Outreach work will be scheduled on weekdays evening or weekend afternoon, each session around 4 hours, 2-3 sessions every two weeks.

Qualifications Required

l   With commitment, responsibility, enthusiastic about the work of community;

l   Good communication skills, non-judgmental, open & not biased;

l   Have an open mind and discuss sexual health issues with ethnic minorities;

l   Able to communicate & write in English, Bahasa Indonesia and Tagalog is much preferable;

l   Able to adapt to outdoor work environment;

Average working hour 10-15 hours every two weeks, depends on the job allocation.

 

Salary

$ 75 per hour
